New Cards and Balancing
The last time I said that I want to make Male and Female cards a bit different from each other. But it isn't that simple as it sounds. The problem is in Deck building. I still want to make a good deck-building game, and changing stats of the cards a lot would make it worse. So I decided to play it safe for now. So I added just one card with the difference in stats, it's Deep Breath. Male version reduces stress, while female reduces arousal. So we can play it a bit and see how it goes. Maybe in the next updates I can do more different cards.
Talking about balanced deck-building, I realized that even when I reduced the chance to get cards in Job loop (seeing things and unusual gift), they still cause a lot of mess in the deck, and cleaning them is quite boring. So for now I further reduced the drop rates for them, and doubled the chance to see a "Forget a card" event in the Training loop.
Also I added some new Fitness cards, still preparing v6.8 update with Fitness/Gym theme.
Status Cards
As you can see, the last card has a new suit. This is new "Status" card. This type of cards is meant to show what you experienced lately. If you got embarassed for being too feminine in front of others - you get Embarassed status card. If you experienced Transformation you get Feminization status card. Though, to make these cards less "unwanted", I made them quite strong. However, they can be used only once per battle and are not deleted after the battle. So I hope they wouldn't break your strategy too much :D I need these cards to better connect "out-of-battle" gameplay with "card battle" gameplay. In next updates I will add more status cards, some Negative and some Positive. Though I believe both, negative and positive, will be quite strong, just negative status cards would transform you more.
Out of Battle Gameplay
We are also working on v7 and v6.8. With v7 not a lot of new stuff I can say. Mostly we are testing the new Puppet in different occasions to make sure it will behave as intended and won't drain your system's resources like some unreal engine 5 game. And the main reason of v7 is that I rly want it to be felt like a complete game (and that's the reason I gonna change the name of the game). And I think partly I can do it in v6.8 and maybe in v6.9.
I plan to do some animations that are integrated well into the gameplay. And sure I gonna try some connection to player's current look. I think I gonna make just a bit of connection this time, most likely penis size. Small steps to a better future :D And most likely animated scenes gonna give different "rewards" based on what type you got (so based on your look).
At the same time, I think Productivity/Focus/Compulsion stats gonna be changed a lot. I have some ideas I want to try, where they would be more "global" stats, and their progression would be way longer, but limited by 10. And these stats would affect different parts of the game, not only specific loops/enemies. It would lead to more "cumulative stats" gameplay, where you need to improve your stats to become better. Maybe these stats even gonna unlock new cards, I'm not sure yet.
Yeah, the way you get new cards gonna be improved. I want to make it more progressive and less random. Maybe like small "story lines", where you need to do a line of quests to unlock a set of cards. Though, it involves a lot of work with additional mechanics, like actual deck building, easy-to-use quest system, etc. Maybe even cards crafting system. For example, using Fitness cards or choosing Fitness-themed options in events you get Fitness points which can be used to craft new fitness cards. And the same for each theme.
Oh God, I can talk about that all day long. All I want to say - I gonna try most of that before v7, because I want to be sure v7 will be GREAT :D So wait few months more, and then we all can play a great game :)
v6.7.3 Changelog
- New cards with "Fitness" theme.
- Deep Breath (different male and female variants)
- Get Massage (male and female variants)
- Stretching (male and female variants)
- Status Cards - can be used only once per battle, but are not deleted from the deck.
- Feminization (new)(can be added into your deck with 50% chance during if you get transformed)
- Embarassed (reworked)(can be added into your deck with X% chance before the fight, where X is difference between Feminity and Identity)
- Balancing
- All "get +X stat for each Arousal/Stress" cards were nerfed by half
- Less "unwanted" card drops (seeing things, embarassed, etc.)
- Flow and Drain now halved each turn instead of just -1 point. So if you have 10 flow, after it's triggered only 5 is left now instead of 9 before.
- Base Value for Refresh is 2 now instead of 3 before
- more "Forget a Card" events during training
- start with $100 now instead of $30 before.
- sleeping gives +80 energy
- bug where you could go into the loop with less than 5 energy is fixed.
- Card tilting is now disabled on Smartphones/Tablets or any device without pointing.
- Bonus effects are now applied on the first turn
